Sesame Vegetable
Medley
Oriental
seasonings make this quick-to-prepare recipe extra delicious.
2 teaspoons
sesame seeds
3 tablespoons
vegetable oil
2 tablespoons
rice wine vinegar
1 teaspoon
Oriental sesame oil
Salt and freshly
ground pepper, to taste
1 can (16
ounces) whole green beans, drained
1 can (16
ounces) whole baby carrots, drained
1 small red
onion, thinly sliced
Toast sesame
seeds on a paper towel in microwave oven on HIGH for about 1 minute, stirring
once until golden. Or, toss in a small skillet set over medium heat about 2
minutes or until golden. Immediately remove from pan.
In small bowl,
whisk together vegetable oil, vinegar, sesame oil; season with salt and pepper.
Place beans and carrots in shallow serving dish. Drizzle with vinaigrette and
toss gently to mix. Sprinkle with onion and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
